A direct piezoeffect is the reverse piezoeffect – the appearance of mechanical deformations under the electric field action. Piezoelectric properties were detected in more than 1500 substances . Piezo-effects ARE OBSERVED ONLY IN CRYSTALS that do not have a symmetry center. When other symmetry elements appear (as a result of mechanical deformation), the piezo- effect can either disappear or remain only in certain directions. Oxygen series of the piezoelement It is known that an oxygen series is: 16, 18, 20, 22, 24 , 26, 28 . However, this series should be divided into 2 groups: - basic series: 16, 18, 20, 22 (oxygen); - alternative series: 22, 24, 26, 28 (nitrogen).
