ЛОПАТА и ТРУДОВАЯ ЛОПАТА. THE SHOVEL and THE LABOR SPADE

other topics, lifting a shroud of mystery from these often difficult subjects. I will add here that she worked initially from only a rough transliteration, looking up in the Russian or inquiring with Nicolai when to her the translations were not clear. (Recall that this was a time prior to the translation support presently available by internet. Though what we now have is admittedly poor, at that time it was scant and even poorer, if one can say.) In addition, where it was possible, Barbara documented case studies of Nicolai’s work with patients. These not only passed scrutiny but aroused noteworthy interest from both medical and other scientists. In addition to these brilliant creations of her own papers, the first three books published by Nicolai were edited and pulled together by Barbara, who collected forewords, checked translations, and smoothed the words and phrases to create the very readable documents we now have: – Final Appeal to Mankind, Vol. 1; Final Appeal to Mankind, Vol. 2; Spirit and Mind, Vol. 1. No small tasks, these were tasks that were very well completed. We regularly reap the benefit of her efforts as we read these volumes in English. Barbara was not one to sit in a “warm, comfortably arranged space, … invested in a worldview.”[2] She worked with both shovel and spade to discover and forge new understandings of the cosmos and humanity. On 22 July 2012, only 6-7 weeks following Nicolai’s departure, Barbara left us. I was privileged to be with my dear friend at that time. I know she would have been proud to know Fedor Shkrudnev and to have worked fervently to support his cause and mission. As we deeply honor and appreciate her efforts and what she left for us, we can also learn from her passion for the truth. Ruth Scott Ruth Scott 26 July 2022 ***
