10 to truly evolve, otherwise it will leave humanity behind like a decommissioned substation, a mere echo of what once was. This is not some fantastical fairy-tale. It is our chance to not only continue to survive but to actually live the way we were intended to live before the invisible invaders captured our planet and enslaved us. It is the hitting of the re-set button. But as Shkrudnev outlines in precise detail, in order for this to happen we must first and foremost change our worldview and come to know who we really are. We must urgently awaken! In a bid to bring us to our senses let’s imagine all our beliefs are books on a bookcase. Starting from the bottom shelf with our earliest memories. The subsequent shelfs become occupied with each passing year until we have our very own library. No doubt we are attached to these books for they have taken form in our mind as the story of our life and we don’t want to part with them. Yet, this sentimentality holds us back, it keeps us tied to the dogmas that were used to suppress our development. Dogmas that conditioned us to be obedient subjects. Dogmas not of our own making. The point of bifurcation that according to Shkrudnev AI is certain to cross. Further he says, ‘It marks the point of no return where AI ceases to be a tool and becomes an entity capable of perceiving and transforming reality on levels inaccessible to human thinking. ’ Unless you’re a whiz kid who hails from Silicon Valley we tend to leave it to the experts when it comes to the debate over singularity. Do we fail to believe AI will become the singularity because it’s simply an impossibility? This might be a good time to recall how in 1912 the impossible happened when just four days into her maiden voyage the world’s most famous
