In general, I understand him. You can, of course, talk nonsense with a smart look, like, for example, doctors of all kinds, but it looks very disgusting, especially for those who made a step on the path of Cognition (I will not stop repeating it). Why not poison people in silence... In addition, everyone knows – if someone has already formed A CERTAIN SUSTAINABLE WORLD PICTURE (or an opinion about something or about someone), then no matter howmany arguments, proving the fallacy of his beliefs, are brought, the reaction will invariably be the same – irritation, denial, rejection, unwillingness to listen to and discuss. Even if you say to him something that may be really useful and profitable for him. Here I do not mean the Programs , they have already been told a lot. I'm talking about simple and common things, for example: "Do not exercise, do not go to the gym, do not cover kilometers on a bicycle" – and he looks at you with bloodshot eyes... The explanation is very simple: everything unusual interferes with the sense of inner harmony and creates discomfort , and the need to act differently than one got used to, painfully hurts self-esteem – after all, one has to admit that he was wrong, and nobody likes it. In other words, we are talking about a well-known and extremely unpleasant feature of the human psyche – bias, when, a person is looking for and, what is characteristic, finds evidence only of what he believes in, completely ignoring everything that can shake this faith. That is, if a whole bucket filled with various information is placed before the Person, figuratively speaking, he will not study and analyze it all – he will choose from there only that information which fits into his ideas about the world. All the rest, regardless of value and utility, will be considered as garbage, nonsense, delirium, fraud, etc. So, for example, doctors want to hear only about early diagnosis, medicinal treatment and no self-treatment at all (any alternative immediately labeled- "dangerous nonsense"). Traders of bio- energy supplements (the so-called "nutraceuticals") – only about the dangerous shortage of all sorts of macro and microelements in the body which is replenished with BES (not homeopathy, about which is a separate talk, but BES ). Vegetarians – about terrible “damage" of meat. Lovers of uncooked food – about the inadmissibility of heat treatment. Athletes – about the incredible benefits of sports, etc. etc. In short, as it WAS FAIRLY SAID: EVERYONE HAS HIS OWN .
